This past week, our director, Gillian A. Hotz, Ph.D, traveled to Kleinburg, Ontario as a participant of the 2015 Konkussion Retreat – a summit organized by Dr. Neilank K. Jha, a neurosurgeon from Toronto Western Hospital – to bring the world’s leading concussion experts together to finalize an international consensus by which concussive traumatic brain injuries are understood.

“It was a wonderful experience working with colleagues in the field to develop the white paper” says Dr. Hotz of the two-day summit. “[It is] a starting point to address the multiple issues and agencies involved in concussion management.”

Our entire KiDZ Neuroscience Center and the UConcussion program would like to extend great thanks and appreciation to Dr. Jha for the invitation to be part of this historic summit.
