This weekend, the Runnin’ Refs team of the GMACFOA (Greater Miami Athletic Conference Football Officials Association) ran the Lifetime Miami Marathon Kick-Off 5K to support the KiDZ Neuroscience Center and UConcussion Program’s traumatic brain injury research. “It’s a great marriage between our association officiating football, and the program that helps treat our student athletes when they are injured,” said GMACFOA president, Jerry Gomez. “…it helps us get ready for the season, and at the same time, raise money for a good cause.”
The KiDZ Neuroscience Center would like to extend our thanks to Mr. Gomez and GMACFOA former president Dr. Joseph Underwood for choosing the KiDZ Neuroscience Center this year – in addition to all the Runnin’ Refs for their efforts.
